Nokia unveils low-cost G310 smartphone with 5G support and self-repair function
The Nokia brand has introduced a new 5G smartphone, the G310, in the United States. The new product is a budget device with the ability to be repaired independently using the proprietary QuickFix technology.
This option allows you to replace damaged components such as the display, battery, charging connector, etc. at home.
The HMD Global group, which owns Nokia, has partnered with iFixit, which provides users with repair instructions and genuine replacement components.
In terms of technical specifications, the Nokia G310 is a rather ordinary device with a 6.6″/HD+/90 Hz display, an inexpensive Snapdragon 480+ chip system, 4/128 GB of storage, and modest optics consisting of a 50/2/2 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera.
The device is equipped with Nokia OZO technology to improve audio playback and enhance audio recording for videos. The power supply is provided by a 5000 mAh battery that is charged via a 20W adapter. The phone also has an NFC chip and a touch sensor for biometric authentication. The software is based on Android 13.
The G310 5G is the third Nokia smartphone this year to feature a QuickFix design for easy repairs. This is a relevant tool in the era of rising costs.
The new product will be available for purchase in the US on August 24 at a price of $186.
