North Macedonia confirms that it has handed over Su-25 aircraft to Ukraine
In the summer of 2022, information appeared on the Internet that North Macedonia had transferred its Su-25 attack aircraft to Ukraine. The government has now officially confirmed this.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of North Macedonia, Slavjanka Petrovska. These are three single-seat Su-25s and one two-seat Su-25UB. In addition, Macedonia has provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with equipment and ammunition for the aircraft, as well as anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons.
By the way, the government has also approved a new military aid package for Ukraine. Macedonia does not say what exactly it includes for security reasons. According to local media, it could be Mi-24 attack helicopters. North Macedonia has 12 of them in total.
