“Oberig” is already at the border: border guards have access to the register of persons liable for military service
In mid-February, the State Border Guard Service began using the Oberig register of persons liable for military service.
This was reported by dev.ua.
The State Border Guard Service became the first government agency to gain access to the Oberig register. The next steps include making the process of passing the military medical commission fully digital.
The use of the registry does not mean that it is 100% ready and fully verified, because its updating is a constant work in which the data of persons liable for military service, reservists and conscripts are updated and activated.
“Integration with the register of the State Border Guard Service is the first stage of the Oberih registry, in which we share data with our partners from other government agencies for direct verification and validation of military records of our citizens,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Kateryna Chernogorenko during the United News telethon.
As of the beginning of March, border guards have already stopped 230 attempts to illegally travel abroad with forged military registration documents using the Oberig register.
The Ministry of Defense is currently working on an exchange with some registries to make the process of passing the military medical commission fully digital.
“We have already developed functionality on the Obereg side that will receive the results of the military medical commission. We will be able to receive real-time data on the fitness or unfitness of persons liable for military service. We believe that this is an important step to ensure that data, not people, run. The data will be sent in real time at the moment when there is already a decision on the part of the military medical commission,” Chernogorenko said.
We also improved the functionality of Obereg regarding the delivery of summonses to prevent cases of its repeated sending.
The backend of the e-cabinet, which will receive information, has already been deployed on the Obereg platform.
As for the implementation of the frontend, that is, the part with which Ukrainians will interact, it is now in the process of implementation.
“As soon as the law on the electronic office of persons liable for military service is adopted and signed, we will be able to continue working on launching this functionality,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense.
