Occupants in Kherson region accidentally dropped bombs on their own positions
Russian occupants dropped three guided aerial bombs on their positions in the southern direction yesterday. Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, told this on the Espresso TV channel on August 10.
According to her, the enemy continues shelling civilians in Kherson region and has deployed reserves in some places. As a result, the number of attacks in the south increased to 40 per day.
“We are doing everything we can to prevent Russian ammunition from reaching civilians. In some cases, the occupiers manage to do it themselves. Yesterday, trying to attack the Beryslav district on the Right Bank with tactical aircraft launching guided aerial bombs, they dropped three CABs right on themselves – on their own units that were cozying up to the Left Bank,” said Natalia Humeniuk.
She noted that counter-battery fighting is currently underway in the south, and the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is complicated by the fact that the front line runs along the Dnipro River. Ukraine’s defenders need to neutralize a huge number of enemy forces to be able to advance.
“The plan is designed to first clear a very large strip on the Left Bank in order to allow our units to move safely,” said Humeniuk.
As a reminder, the Russian occupiers’ control center in Nova Kakhovka was hit. Local telegram channels reported explosions in the area of the Novokakhovka Electric Machine Building Plant.
