Occupants set up combat positions on the roofs of ZNPP reactors – British intelligence
Back in March of this year, the Russian occupiers built positions for combat operations from sandbags on the roofs of several of the six reactor buildings of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
This was reported in a defense intelligence report published on Twitter by the UK Ministry of Defense with reference to images from the site.

“Russia has been in control of ZNPP since March 2022. However, this is the first sign that the actual reactor buildings are being taken into account in tactical defense planning. russia likely built these positions because it is increasingly concerned about the prospects of a major Ukrainian counteroffensive. This step is likely to increase the likelihood of damage to ZNPP security systems if there is fighting around ZNPP” the report says.
According to the intelligence, “direct catastrophic damage to the reactors is unlikely in the most likely scenarios involving the use of infantry weapons, as the structures are very heavily reinforced.”
To recap: The International Atomic Energy Agency continues to work to protect the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP.
