According to the GUR spokesman, Andriy Yusov, the Russian military command did not inform everyone about the dam’s explosion to avoid information leaks. In addition, it could also motivate the occupiers to refuse to fulfill their tasks.
It is noted that there are injured, dead and missing in the units of the 7th Airborne Assault Division and the 22nd Army Corps of the Russian Federation. They also lost several field depots with ammunition and provisions, vehicles and armored vehicles, etc.
At the same time, on the day the dam was blown up, Kakhovka residents were evacuated by their own cars. The occupiers took advantage of civilian evacuation routes and used Ukrainians as human shields.
