Only humanitarian support: Slovakia suspends military aid to Ukraine from its reserves
The head of the Slovak Defense Ministry, Robert Kalyniak, said that the country would stop providing Ukraine with military aid from its own stockpiles. Slovakia will limit itself to humanitarian support.

It is stated that Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak announced the suspension of military assistance to Ukraine during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“However, Slovakia is ready to provide a fairly wide range of humanitarian, civilian and technical assistance of a non-lethal nature. Foreign partners fully respect the decision of the new government,” the statement said.
- On October 26, Slovakia’s new Prime Minister Robert Fico tells the European Commission that he will not provide military aid to Ukraine. The country will limit itself to humanitarian support. This was part of his election campaign, which helped Fico win the parliamentary elections.
- On November 8, the Slovak government did not support the provision of the 14th military aid package to Ukraine, worth 40.3 million euros.
