Outdated Samsung smartphones and tablets to receive AI support
In the near future, owners of outdated Samsung models will be able to enjoy the AI features that were previously available only on newer versions. OneUI 6.1 update is expected for Galaxy S23 series devices next month. The update will also be available for S23 FE devices, Z Fold 5/Z Flip 5 clamshells, and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets.
At the same time, only owners of the flagship Galaxy S24 series will be able to use the AI functions in full. Owners of the above-mentioned devices of previous years will be able to enjoy the following features:
- a voice translator for real-time speech processing during phone calls;
- highlighting objects in photos and videos on social networks with the ability to “smartly” search for them on the Internet;
- automatic photo editing and note taking;
- a shooting assistant and camera improvements.
These innovations will allow users of old Samsungs to get innovative features and improve the functionality of their devices.
We would like to add that Samsung is not the only brand that implements AI options in its products. Apple, Xiaomi, and other competitors are introducing similar innovations.
