Panic in Crimea: the ‘authorities’ limited the sale of goods, all trains were canceled, queues at gas stations
After the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, the occupiers decided not to sell more than three kilograms of buckwheat to residents in one hand, in order to 'avoid artificial excitement.'
After the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, which occurred this morning, the occupying administration of the peninsula decided to limit the sale of essential goods in order to “avoid artificial excitement.” This was reported by RBC on Saturday, October 8, with reference to the “Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Crimea”.
“In order to prevent artificial hype, the sale of grocery products in Crimea is limited to 3 kg per unit,” the journalists cite the department’s statement.
Meanwhile, the occupying administration of Crimea assures that stocks of essential goods on the peninsula will last up to 55 days, and there are allegedly no reasons for increased demand.
After the publication of this message, Oleg Kryuchkov, the “advisor to the head of Crimea”, assured that the information about restrictions on the sale of goods in Crimea is not true, promising to provide an explanation about this later.
Meanwhile, Russian Railways (RZD) announced the suspension of rail service between the temporarily occupied Crimea and Russia — all trains to the peninsula were canceled, and the sale of tickets for this direction was also stopped.
The Crimean bridge has been blown up: trains are not running
For their part, the Russian mass media, citing eyewitnesses, report that long queues have formed at gas stations in Crimea. The Russian authorities have already started work on transporting fuel to the peninsula and assure that Crimea is ‘fully supplied’ with gasoline and diesel fuel, and the reserves will last for at least 15 days.
We will remind, this morning in Russia it was reported that a truck was blown up on the Crimean bridge. As a result, two car spans partially collapsed, but the arch above the navigable part was not damaged. It is known that the explosion caused the explosion of seven fuel tanks in the railway depot.
Traffic on the bridge was suspended due to the incident, forcing the occupation authorities to provide ferry crossings in the region.
