Panicked: in Kherson region, the occupiers opened “friendly” fire and killed 47 of their own
The occupiers became nervous about the Ukrainian Armed Forces and opened fire in two units. The officers who allowed the Russian Armed Forces to fire on their units were arrested.
In the Kherson region, there are more cases of Russian occupiers arranging shootouts with their own people. For example, last week, 47 Russian soldiers were killed by their own troops as a result of “friendly fire.” This was reported by the Russian telegram channel Kremlin Snuffbox.
It is noted that the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region was in some cases accompanied by panic and “friendly fire.” As a result, two officers who allowed the Russian Armed Forces to fire on their units were detained.
“Two officers were detained whose subordinates allowed fire on their own. One of them is an artillery officer. The battery he commanded opened fire on our soldiers a few days ago, mistaking them for Ukrainians. Twelve people were killed. The other was an infantry commander whose subordinates had a firefight with Russian soldiers who were retreating from positions occupied by the enemy. In that firefight, 14 people were killed on both sides,” the statement said.
According to the telegram channel’s source in the Russian Defense Ministry, 47 Russian soldiers were killed last week as a result of “friendly fire” in Kherson region.
As a reminder, the Russians shot down their missile in the Belgorod region.
