Photos of a new version of the Russian “tank barn” with improved armor and mine protection have appeared online
The army of the occupiers continues to build up “sheds” based on T-72s with more and more diverse designs.
One of the latest versions of this pepelats, discovered in the enemy’s ranks, in addition to a solid protective structure made of metal sheets, received a “nawar” of anti-drone grill grates. Such “tricks” of the aggressor’s “Kulibin” imagination are becoming more and more common in the occupiers’ army.
The new version of the “shed,” which the Russians loudly call the “Tsar Tank,” is based on the T-72 and features a new approach to armor and mine protection. Attention is drawn to the use of additional metal sheets reinforced with gratings, which prevents premature detonation of the warhead. In addition, the tank’s armor includes metal mesh, metal sheets, dynamic protection and basic armor.

This design makes the tank less vulnerable to FPV drones, which require precise targeting of vulnerable areas of the vehicle.
Some examples of such “sheds” managed to blow up on mines despite the use of mine trawls. The new versions of these “czars” are equipped with roller mine trawls of the KMT-5 or KMT-7 type, which cause premature detonation of mines under the weight of the trawl.
Tank sheds, despite their name, are not used to fire a gun due to the limitations of aiming, but rather serve to transport personnel and cargo.
In order to reduce the effectiveness of such pepelats, Ukrainians need to saturate their anti-tank defense with all types of destruction means (the use of FPV drones alone has an extremely limited effect).
