He added that this is another element of the sanctions imposed on Russia and its citizens in connection with the brutal war in Ukraine.
The Polish Border Guard notes that it is prohibited to purchase, import or transfer to the European Union, directly or indirectly, cars and other vehicles intended primarily for the carriage of 10 people, including cars and trucks (with a station wagon body) and racing cars, if they originate or are exported from Russia.
As a reminder, Lithuanian customs will start confiscating Russian cars upon entry into the country in accordance with the latest recommendations of the European Commission.
The Estonian authorities are still considering the possibility of starting to confiscate cars with Russian license plates in the country. Currently, the government is waiting for the position of the Tax and Customs Department, after which it will discuss this issue.
