Poland built a factory for the production of military drones in Georgia

Mass production of drones will be launched in April

Mass production of reconnaissance and combat drones is being launched in Georgia. On January 27, the first test flights took place at the “Krtsanisi” training ground of the Ministry of Defense, according to the government’s website. It is noted that this is a joint project of Georgia and Poland.

The Moscow Times writes about it.

We are talking about WARMATE and FLYEYE drones of Georgian-Polish production. The FLYEYE reconnaissance drone is designed to perform high-precision tasks in all climate zones and radio-electronic conditions. With its help, the military can conduct covert surveillance in real time. The WARMATE drone performs other functions. This is a combat drone with a high accuracy of damage. It is used by both the Polish and other armies of NATO countries.

“We are starting the production of unmanned aerial vehicles – reconnaissance and so-called “kamikaze” in Georgia. We are starting their mass production from April,” Georgian Defense Minister Dzhuansher Burchuladze said.

Drones will be produced by Delta-Webe LLC, a “daughter” of Delta International and Polish WB Electronics S.A. Mass production of drones will be launched in April. The plant will produce several hundred drones per year.

In addition, “Delta-Webe” will open the first training center for working with drones in Georgia. Professional instructors of the center will retrain employees of the Ministry of Defense, the report says.

In 2022, Poland turned out to be one of the leaders in Eastern Europe in the production of weapons. This was facilitated by the war in Ukraine started by Russia. According to the statistics of the Kiel Institute of the World Economy, Poland became the third country in terms of the volume of arms transferred to Kyiv after the USA and Great Britain.
