Poland receives first batch of American M1A1FEP Abrams tanks

The United States has delivered the first batch of Abrams tanks to Poland, the Polish media outlet gov.pl reports.

What is known

The information was shared by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak. We are talking about 14 combat vehicles of the M1A1FEP modification. The tanks will reinforce the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade, which currently uses German Leopard 2s.

By the way, 14 M1A1FEP Abrams tanks are part of a $1,400,000,000 contract that Poland signed in January 2023. In total, the Poles will receive 116 American combat vehicles under this contract.
