Poles made an explosion-proof special trailer for Ukraine

On September 6, the Ukrainian humanitarian pyrotechnic service will become the owner of a unique containerized explosive installation of the Wiktoria trailer type on a two-axle Zasław chassis.

The gift is being prepared by Polish entrepreneurs as part of the MSPO-2023 international defense industry exhibition in Kielce. This will be a partnership gift from two manufacturers – Jakusz Sp. z o.o. from Koscierzyn, which manufactures and assembles such containers on a wheeled chassis, and Zasław TSS from Andrychow, which produces such chassis.

The Victoria ventilated shrapnel container was delivered to the exhibition as a Jakusz exhibit. It is open to the public but will change hands after today’s celebrations. The trailed unit will leave for Ukraine on Saturday, September 9.

The Jakusz company took the initiative to produce a special container for the Ukrainian pyrotechnic service for the safe transportation of unexploded medium-sized ammunition free of charge. The partner’s call was supported by the chassis manufacturer Zasław, which donated a wheel platform for the installation of the plant.

The trailer-type transport system is capable of transporting various types of explosive devices with a detonation resistance equivalent to 10 kg of TNT to a safe place for neutralization. These can be unexploded ordnance, mines, grenades, etc.

As a rule, hazardous findings in areas of mass gathering or residential development are not subject to disposal at the place of discovery. A trailer system has been developed for their safe transportation.

In addition, engineering units can use such a unit at airports, terminals, and postal sorting centers to quickly isolate suspicious parcels, letters, or luggage that may contain explosives.
