Radiation release at Rostov NPP in Russia – Head of the Center for Public Health

The accidental discharge of radioactive water at the Rostov NPP has not yet been localized, and there is a constant leakage of radiation. The radioactive cloud is moving inland, toward Saratov, according to a CIA analyst.

A radiation accident occurred at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant, which resulted in the release of radioactive isotopes with radioactivity of up to one and a half million curies into the atmosphere. This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, citing information from Serge Volin, who claims to be a retired CIA analyst.

“Radiation accident at the Rostov NPP. The radiation cloud is moving deep into Russia. These are also the consequences of the “SVO,” by the way,” Andriy Kovalenko wrote.

Meanwhile, Serge Volin said that the accident resulted in the release of radioactive isotopes with radioactivity of up to one and a half million curies into the atmosphere, and the Russian government is carefully concealing this. Meanwhile, the radioactive cloud is moving inland, toward Saratov.

Subsequently, the analyst informed that in the Rostov region, the accidental discharge of radioactive water at the Rostov NPP has not yet been localized, and there is a constant leakage of radiation.

“The radioactive background in Rostov is normal according to Rossatom’s claims, but in fact it is already 75 times higher than normal. Health to those who glow,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Russian media do not report on the accident at the nuclear power plant in Rostov region.

On July 17, Rosatom reported that the first power unit of the Rostov NPP, which was shut down the day before due to an equipment malfunction, was back online and carrying a full load of 1,000 megawatts.

“Unit 1 was shut down at 15:21 on July 16 due to a false protection trip. Rostov NPP has mobilized all efforts to identify the causes and reconnect to the grid as soon as possible, and additional personnel have been deployed in case of unscheduled repairs. The equipment was checked and the unit was connected to the grid as soon as possible,” the statement said.
