Rare footage of the combat use of the Israeli FireFly kamikaze drone has emerged
The use of the Spike FireFly drone by the Israeli Defense Forces was first caught on video. The newest UAV was probably used in Janina.
This was reported by The War Zone.
The footage captured on video shows the use of two drones, Moaz and FireFly. The events took place in the West Bank. The FireFly drone was designed for use in densely populated urban areas. In these situations, situational awareness is limited, the enemy is fighting from behind cover, and the effectiveness of fire support elements is reduced due to the close proximity of non-combatants.

It is noted that the Israeli Defense Forces have completed a 60-hour operation in Jenin. As a result, dozens of weapons were seized and dozens of Palestinians were arrested.
Rafael has created a whole family of Spike drones, including FireFly. It has a vertical takeoff and landing and can be used as a grenade. It is relatively small in size: 40 cm high, 8 cm in diameter, and weighs 3 kg. The drone is equipped with an explosive weighing 350 grams. FireFly should allow the operator to destroy the target outside the line of sight. The product is equipped with two motors, a set of sensors and cameras. On a single charge, the device can fly for 15-30 minutes in reconnaissance mode. The range is up to 1000 meters at a speed of 60-70 km/h.
