Rashists complain that an unknown missile flew into the center of Taganrog

In Taganrog itself, there is an air base where Russian Su-25 “VKS” attack aircraft are stationed

Today, on July 28, at about 16:30, a powerful explosion occurred in the Russian city of Taganrog, Rostov Region. As a result, the Chekhov Sad restaurant in the city center was destroyed.

According to the governor of the region, Golubev, the cause of the explosion was a missile, but he did not specify its affiliation. According to preliminary estimates, there are more than 15 victims. As a result of the explosion, nearby buildings were also damaged.

There was also a photo with debris, most likely from the missile itself or another explosive device. It may have been equipped with ready-made warheads.

If we assume that it is a missile and not an explosion of a planted device, we should take into account the fact that Taganrog itself has a Rashid air base, where at least Su-25 attack aircraft are based.

At the same time, there have already been incidents where ammunition has been dropped from Russian warplanes and fallen in the middle of the city. In particular, this was the situation in Belgorod in April of this year. Then the Russian Su-34 will drop concrete bombs, most likely BetAB 500ShP, on the city.

Given the size of the crater, it is possible that this time a Russian Su-25 could have fired something like a large-caliber unguided rocket of the S-24 type with a 151-kg high-explosive warhead with ready-made notched elements at the city.

Later, a video of the rocket falling was released, filmed by a local resident. Although the quality of the image does not allow us to clearly identify the missile itself, it is most likely larger than the S-24.
