Robots and drones help sappers to demine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated special equipment used by sappers to demine settlements liberated from the Russian occupiers. In the published photos you can see a quadcopter and a manipulator, which help sappers to do their job, taking the maximum precautions to clear mines and explosive traps left by the occupiers.

Quadcopters are useful for demining because they allow you to safely explore the area for the presence of stretch marks (fixed low above the ground hand grenades with taut wire tied to the check, detonated by touching the wire with his foot). “I would like to note that small mobile quadcopters with video recording function are especially effective, which are still indispensable for every sapper unit and reconnaissance,” said Igor, the head of the demining team.

The use of crawler-powered robots equipped with cameras and manipulators with enthusiasm allows you to remotely inspect explosive objects. Such work can be carried out by a sapper both independently and in pairs with a specialist who has undergone appropriate training. robotic system Nicholas.
