Romania’s turn: Romanian farmers blocked checkpoints with Ukraine and do not let Ukrainian trucks through

On January 13, Romanian farmers and agrarians began blocking truck traffic through the Porubnea-Siret international road checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. The reasons and estimated duration of the blockade are unknown.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

It is already a well-known fact that not only the Russians are trying to destroy Ukraine as a state on its eastern border, but also its closest neighbors on the western border. The Russian occupation forces and the Russian leadership want to destroy Ukraine both physically and economically by waging open war and blocking the largest export-import route, the Black Sea. Because of this, the only way for Ukraine to export and import goods is through the border with Western countries-Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland.

Hungary is a well-known supporter of the Putin regime, and it was not surprising that Hungarians were the first to support the genocide of Ukrainians. The second country that has expressed all kinds of support for Ukraine and provided assistance is Poland. But the Poles did something that not only played along with the Russians, but also completely offset the help they had provided at the beginning of the war. Ukrainians call this a “stab in the back.” Poland blocked all border crossings with Ukraine for many months, undermining not only exports but also imports of vital goods and means of survival in the war. Along with Poland, the border was also blocked in Slovakia, after the country’s leadership changed and “swore allegiance to the new Hitler in the person of Putin.”

Now, apparently according to Moscow’s plans, the turn has come for the Romanians. It also coincided with the simultaneous partial unblocking of the border with Poland.

It is currently unknown why the Romanians started the blockade so quickly. Or is it really money and Kremlin propaganda? This is an open question, but it is clear that all this is for one purpose.
