Rozetka cuts staff and delays salaries amid reduction in monthly turnover from UAH 4 billion to UAH 23 million

Complaints of employees of the Rozetka online store about a 20% reduction in salaries are appearing on social networks. Such a move could be attributed to a full-scale Russian invasion, but a letter about the reduction in wages received a few days before February 24.

First, it affected the company’s designers and marketers. Rozetka web designer Vyacheslav Lopatto described the situation with the reduction. At the same time, the company announced a reduction in the staff of developers.

Another employee of the online store Maria Romanenko-Kosmolinska added on the social network that the reduction of salaries to 80% was announced a week before the war, explaining it by the decline in sales. And on March 13, they announced that they would pay only for the hours worked, although some employees in Kyiv went to the defense, volunteered or were forced to stay in storage.

On March 29, Rozetka owner Vladislav Chechotkin wrote a letter to all employees announcing the dismissal of part of the state.

DOU tried to get official comments from Rozetka’s management, but did not respond within a week.
