Russia announces a new drone attack – vnukovo airport urgently closed in moscow

The Russian authorities reported new UAV attacks in Moscow, and declared a “carpet” regime. Vnukovo Airport was temporarily closed due to the approach of a drone.

This is reported by a number of propaganda outlets.

“According to preliminary information, the drone was spotted in the Kubinka area, flying toward Moscow,” the statement said.

Thus, the Russians deploy the “carpet” signal when unidentified objects are detected in the airspace or when firing at targets.

Vnukovo Airport is one of the four main airports in Moscow. It is located within the Moscow district of the same name, ten kilometers southwest of the Moscow Ring Road. The airport primarily serves flights within Russia, as well as low-cost and charter flights operated by Aeroflot Group airlines.

Videos from the scene have already been posted online. Russians report that explosions are heard in Krasnogorsk. Eyewitnesses also spotted a lethal object in the area of Novorizhske highway. The media reports on a drone that crashed in northwest Moscow, with emergency services heading to Karamyshevskaya Embankment.
