Russia has shown a “soldier’s suit of the future” that is allegedly capable of jamming UAVs within a radius of 300 meters
“Laboratory PPS brought the latest version of the Triton complex to the ORЕLEXPO 2023 exhibition. It is designed to protect infantrymen from drones. The complex can be worn on your person.
“The Triton consists of the LPD-801 anti-drone gun and two suppression modules, LGSH-608 and LGSH-609, operating at 800 and 900 MHz. The latter are mounted on masts that are attached to a soldier’s backpack. The developers claim that the Triton system is capable of protecting not only the carrier but also other members of the unit within a 300-meter radius from UAVs. The Russian media position the new product as a “soldier’s suit of the future.”
Aircraft jamming modules are equipped with antennas that have a circular radiation pattern. They create a dome of radio interference within a radius of 300 meters. The declared operating time of the Triton from a standard battery is four hours.
PPS Laboratory claims that the Triton system has passed state tests. It is currently being tested by the Russian army.
