Russia is preparing to test the unmanned BMP-3, which has been under development for 8 years, in Ukraine

The occupiers plan to test their infantry fighting vehicle project on the battlefield. According to Rostec, they are preparing a new BMP-3, which will be tested in Ukraine.

This infantry fighting vehicle will be remotely controlled. According to Rostec CEO Chemezov, the vehicle will be a variation of the Sinytsa with a combat module.

It is known that the BMP began to be developed 8 years ago under the name “Udar” and the BMP has already been demonstrated with the Boomerang-BM combat module.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the occupiers have repeatedly mentioned their development, but have not yet shown it. In the spring of 2023, the Russians referred to the vehicle as a remote reconnaissance station.

However, given the enemy’s losses and the words of the head of the Russian Center for Military and Political Studies, Aleksey Podberezkin, we can conclude that the occupiers lack conventional infantry fighting vehicles, not to mention robotic ones.

In 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 240 units of BMP-3, and according to the Oryx portal, 341 units of BMP-3.
