Russian Armed Forces strike Kyiv with Kinzhal missiles: powerful explosions in the city
The aeroballistic X-47M2s were probably launched from the Savasleyka airfield. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the missile debris fell on the territory of the children’s hospital.
A series of explosions occurred in Kyiv at about 10:00, 10 minutes after the air raid alert was announced.
Before that, at 9:59 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch of X-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles, and 2 minutes later it became known about repeated launches.
According to the command, the missiles were launched by a MiG-31K fighter jet from the Savasleyka airfield.
Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information about the strikes on the capital and asked Kyiv residents to stay in shelters.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), air defense forces are operating in the capital.
Later, the mayor of Kyiv said that the debris of one of the missiles fell on the territory of the children’s hospital. According to preliminary data, no one was injured.
