Russian authorities want to blow up Zaporizhzhia NPP to destabilize Ukraine
The President of Ukraine believes that the Russian authorities want to blow up the Zaporizhzhya NPP to destabilize Ukraine and to put pressure on Kyiv to stop this war. Of course, at the expense of Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
He said this in an interview with the American TV channel NBC News, Ukrinform reports.
“Russia wants to blow up (Zaporizhzhia – ed.) NPP. Because, just like with the (Kakhovka – ed.) dam, they are not interested in the security situation in Ukraine. They constantly need destabilization here, and they want the world to put pressure on Ukraine to stop this conflict,” the head of state said.
According to Zelenskyy, the transfer of Western equipment to Ukraine in small batches only prolongs the duration of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“If we receive a massive transfer of military equipment that is currently on the balance sheet of our partners, we will win faster,” the president added.
As a reminder, the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and flooded many settlements between Kherson and the left bank of the Kherson region. In this way, they want to complicate the liberation of Ukrainian territories from the occupiers.
The Russians have never counted on lives, even those of their own population. They do not care about the deaths of thousands of civilians and the environmental disaster. They want to devastate Ukraine by any means necessary. And if they consider blowing up a nuclear power plant expedient in achieving their goals, they will do it. Only the Ukrainian army can prevent them from doing so.
