Russian Federation attacks Ukraine with new Iranian Shahed drones from the Sea of Azov, – Air Force (video)

The last UAV launches were conducted from the Krasnodar Territory. According to Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat, the Russian occupiers moved the drones so that the Ukrainian defense forces could not get them.

The Russian occupiers launched Shahed kamikaze drones over Ukraine from the Sea of Azov during the latest attacks. The spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ignat, said this on the air of a single telethon.

Russians launch Iranian UAVs from the eastern part of the Sea of Azov and the Krasnodar Territory. The last two attacks were from there, he clarified.

‘There is still no reliable data on whether this was a new batch of UAVs or the remains of an old one. There were 2 attacks, unfortunately, not all kamikaze drones were intercepted, but most of them were still destroyed,’ noted Ignat.

According to him, the Armed Forces shoot down Iranian drones in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. The military explained the change in the launch point of the UAV as a shift in the front line.

‘We have moved the combat contact line, the enemy can move the launch point back a bit. For Shahed, the distance is not a problem, the Russian Armed Forces simply moved those launch points, fearing that our defense forces can reach them,’ Ignat said.

The Air Force spokesman noted that Shahed drones fly freely in frosty weather, strong winds can hinder them.

We will remind that the Russian army launched 15 Shahed-136 attack drones at the energy infrastructure facilities of the Odesa region on the night of December 10. Ukrainian military shot down ten devices.

The German newspaper Die Zeit previously wrote that Moscow ordered hundreds of new drones and ballistic missiles from Tehran.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine warned Iran about the consequences for supplying weapons to the Russian army. Any benefits from such agreements are nullified by negative consequences, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.

Russian military experts complained about gaps in the country’s air defense. Their dissatisfaction is largely related to the recent explosions at the airport in Engels.
