Russian Il-76 military plane catches fire and crashes over Ivanovo (video)
In Ivanovo, local residents reported a plane crash at the Northern airfield.

“An airplane crashed at the Northern airfield, explosions are heard, sirens are working,” the message says.
Another report published a video from the scene, showing black smoke coming from the airfield, details of what happened are being clarified.

There was an official confirmation from the occupiers.
“A military IL-76 crashed during takeoff in the Ivanovo region. There were 8 crew members and 7 passengers on board. The cause of the crash was a fire in one of the engines during takeoff,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Russian media report that on the night and morning of March 12, Russian regions were massively attacked by drones and missiles. Drones were shot down in the Moscow, Leningrad, Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Tula, and Voronezh regions. An oil depot in the Oryol region caught fire after a drone strike. Another fire broke out at an oil refinery in Kstovo near Nizhny Novgorod.
