Employees of the domestic policy unit of the Russian Presidential Administration are to get rid of their iPhones by early April.
The first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, who oversees domestic policy, set the deadline for giving up iPhones at April 1, 2023.
The reason for refusing iPhones is called cybersecurity: the Kremlin believes that with the help of these gadgets, Western specialists can monitor data, and they are easier to hack than other smartphones.
AP employees are advised to purchase phones with Android, its Chinese counterparts, or Aurora operating systems.
