Russians advance en masse in southern and eastern Ukraine from Avdiivka to Zaporizhzhia
Fierce fighting continues near Avdiivka and Maryinka, with Russians launching a massive offensive against Ukrainian positions. According to General Oleksandr Tarnavsky, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping, over the past two days the enemy has been increasing its pace and intensifying its use of aviation and armored vehicles in massive offensives. Guided aerial bombs were part of these attacks, during which 19 airstrikes were carried out.
Nevertheless, Ukrainian soldiers are known for their courage and endurance. Over the past two days, numerous enemy attacks have been repelled. Yesterday, our defenders repelled 42 attacks in various areas, including Novobakhmutivka, Severne and Tonenke. The day before yesterday, in the Avdiivka sector, Ukraine managed to repel 49 enemy attacks, destroying 11 Russian tanks and 15 other armored vehicles. The enemy is actively trying to advance in the vicinity of Avdiivka, as well as in the Maryinka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka directions, where Ukrainian troops repelled 14 attacks over the past day.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled three enemy attacks south of Novodarivka and west of Novopokrovka. Yesterday, Russian occupation forces carried out three more attacks in the same area.
The Melitopol sector also witnessed a courageous defense by the Ukrainian military, who continue to inflict losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment.
Total enemy losses amounted to 430 personnel in these areas yesterday, 7 pieces of military equipment were destroyed, including 3 tanks and 2 armored personnel carriers.
These events testify to the steadfastness and heroism of Ukrainian soldiers in response to the growing pressure of enemy forces.
In addition, Russians are massively shelling Ukrainian frontline villages and towns. In Zaporizhzhya region, 74 attacks were made on 18 localities over the past day alone. The occupants carried out 7 UAV attacks on Gulyaypol, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Luhivske and shelled Robotyne with MLRS.
66 artillery shells fell on the territory of Orikhiv, Levadne, Bilohirya, Novodarivka, Poltavka, Malynivka, Pyatikhatky, Plavny, Kamianske and other frontline towns and villages.
