SAMP-T is already in Ukraine: Ukrainian Armed Forces and online footage confirm its presence in service (video)
A video of the SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile system launch containers allegedly used in Ukraine has been posted online. The corresponding recording is published by Ukrainian channels covering the war.
In the video, you can see the used transport and launch containers of the Franco-Italian complex, which remained after the combat work.
The operator speaks Ukrainian and claims that the missiles of the system weigh much less than the ammunition for the Soviet S-300 system.
“The missile is a bomb,” the military man said of the system.

LIGA.net asked the Air Force Command for a comment, as there was no official announcement of SAMP-T’s arrival in Ukraine – Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat confirmed that the SAM was on combat duty.
- In June 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that SAMP-T had been put on combat duty in Ukraine. Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat did not confirm this, saying that he “knows nothing about it.”
- In December 2022, Ukraine asked France to supply the SAMP-T air defense system.
- On February 4, 2023, French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecorneuil said that France and Italy would hand over SAMP-T to Ukraine in the spring of 2023.
