Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra final camera specs announced
An insider has revealed the final camera specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra flagship. Early rumors said that the company would abandon the 10x zoom, but we didn’t know what would replace it. New data reveals this mystery.
This year, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will once again offer a truly flagship camera for longtime fans of the series, writes 24Kanal. Those who loved the very long optical zoom will be somewhat disappointed, but it’s still an impressive feature that no one else on the market, not even Apple, offers.
Final characteristics
Initially, the Galaxy S24 Ultra was planned to be equipped with a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2SX camera, a 50-megapixel 5x Sony IMX875 telephoto camera, a 10-megapixel 10x Sony IMX754+, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX564 camera with laser autofocus.
Now the company is ditching the third sensor on this list, replacing it with a 3x + 5x zoom configuration:
- 5x Telephoto 50MP IMX875 was replaced by 5x Telephoto 50MP IMX854.
- 10x Telephoto 10MP IMX754+ has been canceled.
- 3x Telephoto 10MP IMX754+ added.
And while it still looks promising, it’s not certain that the new configuration will provide the same experience for many users who prefer long-range zoom.

Galaxy S24 will support Ultra HDR
Another interesting leak, which is more of a confirmation than a surprise, is Ultra HDR support. Support for the technology appeared in the new Android 14 and will be transferred to the Galaxy S24. This feature, available as part of the One UI 6.0 update, will allow users to shoot and view HDR photos and videos on their device instead of SDR. Considering that the new phones have very bright screens that reach 2,500 nits and above, having this feature will definitely make them even better so you can fully appreciate the quality of the picture.
Good news, it has been confirmed that Galaxy S24 series supports viewing HDR photos in photo albums (similar to Ultra HDR). It has finally come true.😭

It is not yet known whether this feature will be available on older Galaxy devices, even those that are still capable of providing such capabilities. The company can make it an exclusive of the flagship.
