Samsung introduces Galaxy XCover7 and Tab Active5: devices for enterprises with improved reliability in extreme environments

Samsung has officially unveiled the new Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 devices, specially designed to work in harsh environments. These devices have a ruggedized design and support 5G connectivity, offering higher performance than previous models.

The Galaxy XCover7 has a 6.6-inch FHD+ display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and IP68 and MIL-STD-810H standards, which guarantees resistance to drops and water immersion. It is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel main camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.

Galaxy Tab Active5 is an 8-inch tablet with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It’s also IP68 and MIL-STD-810H rated and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel main camera. It is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor and will be available in versions with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Both devices offer high strength and durability, making them ideal for use in manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and government environments. They are equipped with an increased speaker volume, programmable keys and fast charging support, and are compatible with a wide range of third-party accessories.

Thanks to Samsung Knox Vault, both devices provide a high level of security, protecting critical data, including information on the lock screen. The Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 are scheduled for release in January 2024, but prices have not yet been announced.
