Samsung unveils S49CG932SC curved 5K monitor for $1370 as a cheaper alternative to the Odyssey OLED G9 S49CG954SC
The South Korean company Samsung has added a new monitor to its product range. It has the designation S49CG932SC and is a simplified version of the Odyssey OLED G9 S49CG954SC model, which was announced in early summer 2023.
The monitor is equipped with a curved display with a curvature radius of 1800R. The diagonal is 49″, the aspect ratio is 32 to 9, and the resolution is 5120 x 1440 pixels (Dual Quad HD). The screen supports a frame refresh rate of 240 Hz and has a response time of 0.03 ms.
QLED Quantum Dot technology provides a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The 10-bit matrix displays 99% of the DCI-P3’s color space. The company also announces support for AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
To connect computers and game consoles, the new product has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. There is a round RGB backlight on the back.
Samsung has presented a new monitor in China. The cost was $1370.
