SBU stops supply of thousands of components for production of Shaheds and cruise missiles to Russia
As part of Ukraine’s cyber defense, the Security Service of Ukraine effectively blocks attempts to supply Russia with components necessary for weapons production. According to Ilya Vityuk, Head of the SBU Cyber Security Department, during the telethon, thanks to the efforts of digital technology specialists, it was possible to block the supply of servo motors for 1600 Shahed drones and 4000 microcircuits for cruise missiles.
The activity of the SBU cyber department is not limited to blocking supplies. Specialists are also actively destroying enemy electronic warfare and intelligence systems, intercepting enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, thus preventing coordination of attacks on the Ukrainian military. Intelligence and counterintelligence operations help minimize human losses and effectively counteract hacker attacks from Russia.
Vitiuk emphasized that cyber warfare has not only a virtual but also a very real impact, stressing the importance of cybersecurity to protect the state and its citizens from external threats.
