“Scrap metal” from Russia: Ukrainian soldiers show how they “demilitarized” Russian combat robots
Soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade showed a video of the destruction of Russian robotic combat vehicles in the Avdiivka sector.
The video was released by the brigade’s press service.
The combat vehicles were destroyed with the help of three FPV drones of the 47th Brigade’s UAV strike company.
The new video provides a closer look at robotic combat vehicles. It turned out that, in addition to AGS-17 grenade launchers and ammunition, the drones carried anti-tank mines.
That is, in addition to fire, they can conduct remote mining.
The drones have a tracked chassis protected by metal panels. The front of the combat vehicle has a triangular shape, which is probably necessary for driving through vegetation, ruins of buildings and the remains of equipment.
The upper part has a combat module with an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher and a large ammunition box on the left.
There are 4 anti-tank mines on the right and left sides, and a special springboard for launching them to the ground is visible at the stern.
There are three masts on the combat vehicles, two of which are most likely used to transmit signals, and the other has a camera.
“On March 16, Militarnyi reported that Ukrainian FPV drone operators had shot down two Russian ground drones in Donetsk region.
The occupants’ robotic platform was destroyed by the soldiers of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is likely that the enemy tracked drone was transporting boxes of ammunition for small arms or other infantry weapons.
Such a Russian unmanned ground evacuation and logistics platform was previously spotted near Avdiivka.
The occupiers use it to bring in supplies and evacuate the wounded.
