SpaceX cuts off access to satellite internet in three countries
SpaceX has begun informing its customers in countries such as Sudan, Zimbabwe, and South Africa that access to its Starlink satellite Internet services will be suspended until the end of this month. This step is part of the company’s fight against illegal use of its services in countries where it has not received an official work permit.
Currently, Starlink services are legal and available in 72 countries where the company has all the necessary licenses. However, there are cases when Internet access equipment is purchased in one country and used in another, which violates local laws and regulations. For this reason, SpaceX has decided to suspend its services in these countries until the situation is resolved in accordance with the rules.
