Spotify launches AI DJ in 50 countries (video)
Streaming platform Spotify has launched a beta version of an artificial intelligence DJ in 50 markets. The list of new countries is published on the service’s website.
The feature is available for Spotify premium subscribers. Using artificial intelligence, the tool creates personalized playlists and generates voice comments.

The DJ is based on OpenAI’s large speech model and voice synthesis technology from Sonantic, a startup that Spotify acquired last year. The tool also explains why a particular song was chosen.
Currently, the feature works only in the English-language version of Spotify.
