“Still afloat”. The first satellite photo of the downed ship in Kerch appears
The publication “Schemes: Corruption in Detail” published the first satellite photo of a ship in the temporarily occupied Kerch that was hit by a Ukrainian missile.
The Planet Labs image from November 5 is unclear due to clouds, but the ship looks damaged, the publication says.
“According to my data, on November 4, at the time of the explosions, there was only one ship in Kerch capable of carrying Kalibr class missiles, namely the Askold. I think that this ship, as we can see, was already at the dock, and it was being repaired, because it was supposed to be delivered in December. You can see that it is still afloat, but the upper part of the ship is noticeably damaged,” said reserve navy captain Andriy Ryzhenko after analyzing the satellite image.
- On November 4, it became known that the tactical aviation of the Air Force struck at the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch.
- The next day, Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk officially confirmed that one of the newest ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet had been hit.
