Stoltenberg said that the Armed Forces are planned to be transferred to NATO
NATO will transfer the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Alliance. Post-Soviet technology will be a thing of the past.
This was announced on Wednesday, June 15, at a briefing in Belgium on the occasion of the NATO summit, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“The Alliance is preparing a plan for the complete transfer of Ukraine’s army from post-Soviet weapons to NATO,” – he said.
The Secretary General also announced that on the evening of June 15, new military assistance to Ukraine will be announced, including heavy weapons and long-range artillery.
NATO members are likely to do so after the third Rammstein meeting scheduled for this day in Brussels and will take place at NATO Headquarters.
We will remind, earlier the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov declared that to transfer the armament to NATO standards, Ukraine can need a month.
The day before, Stoltenberg said that the members of the North Atlantic Alliance should provide the Ukrainian army with heavier weapons to confront Russia. According to him, all states must be ready to help Ukraine for a long time.
At the same briefing, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that NATO was not doing enough to protect and support Ukraine in the war against the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.
