Strong explosions in Crimea: occupants complain about UAV attack, there are arrivals (video)
On Saturday, July 22, powerful explosions occurred in the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Krasnogvardeisky district of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The arrivals were at an oil depot and an airfield, and the detonation of ammunition began there.
The new “cotton” on the peninsula was reported by local Telegram channels. Spectacular videos from the scene are posted online. The footage shows a column of smoke rising into the sky (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news story).
Eyewitnesses report that the explosions are clearly audible as far away as Dzhankoy district.
The governor of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov reported in his Telegram about the attack of UAVs that “flew into” infrastructure facilities.
“The enemy made an attempt to attack infrastructure facilities in the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Republic of Crimea using a UAV. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is on the spot to eliminate possible consequences. All specialized services are working,” Aksyonov wrote, traditionally calling on Crimeans to remain calm.
Also at this time, the Russians again temporarily blocked traffic on the Crimean bridge. Recently, the peninsula’s “authorities” decided to stop the crossing every time there is an air raid alert.
The press service of the Crimean Bridge reported the traffic shutdown. They called on everyone on the crossing and in the inspection area to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security officers.
To recap, the occupiers also temporarily closed the bridge on July 20. The signal “Air Alert. Everyone leave the bridge”. Motorists were urged to leave the Crimean bridge as soon as possible.
Later, traffic on the bridge was restored. The crossing was blocked twice that day. After the first time, some Russian media outlets wrote that it was supposedly a drill.
Meanwhile, Andriy Kramarov, a reserve officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a military expert, suggested that in order to completely destroy the Crimean bridge, the Ukrainian Defense Forces should reach the Azov Sea coast. This may happen by the end of this year. The access to the Crimean Isthmus will actually ensure full fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the occupied peninsula. This will mean the ability to freely strike enemy bases in Sevastopol and other locations.
