A Su-34 frontline bomber has overturned at an airfield in the Voronezh region of Russia as a result of an incident.
This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source in the security forces.
On Thursday afternoon, a Su-34 rolled off the runway of the Buturlinovka airfield due to a brake parachute failure. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured and there is no damage to the ground.
“According to the updated data, the plane’s wheel blew out, after which it overturned,” the source said. The damage is being established.
A representative of the Russian Defense Ministry spoke to RIA Novosti and confirmed the incident, but did not provide details.
This is the first adventure with this newest aircraft in the history of the Russian Air Force.
