Cisco Systems, a manufacturer of networking equipment and software products, has physically destroyed its property worth more than $23 million in Russia.
TASS reports this with reference to the reporting data of the Cisco legal entity in Russia.
The company decided to dispose of the equipment back in August last year. The reason was the suspension of licenses and obstacles to re-export. Cisco will also destroy all IT equipment and demo samples.
The manufacturer tried to export its property through an intermediary, but failed. Therefore, it was decided to destroy everything that remained on the territory of the aggressor country.
As a reminder, Cisco stopped selling and servicing equipment in Russia in March 2022. At the end of June, it decided to completely withdraw from the Russian market due to the war against Ukraine. The company suffered losses of $200 million due to its exit from the Russian and Belarusian markets.
