Telegram receives update with key social media feature
Telegram developers have released an update to the messenger for Android and iOS. The update includes several new features, including global hashtag search.
Previously, hashtags were limited to certain channels or chats. Now, when you click on a hashtag, the cart displays results not only for the current channel, but also for other public channels. You can’t search by tags in private messages.
The update also includes animated effects in messages, captions over pictures and videos, collapsible quotes, and quick commands for numbers. The full list of changes can be found on the official Telegram blog.
To use the new features, you need to update the app to the latest version on Google Play or the App Store.
In the previous update, the “cart” was expanded with recommended channels and user birthdays. In addition, Microsoft has integrated its Copilot AI assistant into Messenger, which helps perform various tasks and answers users’ questions directly in the application.
