Tesla electric cars are available: Musk plans to produce cars for 25 thousand euro in Germany
Tesla plans to produce electric cars worth 25,000 euros at a plant in Germany.
This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.
Elon Musk announced plans to start producing cheap electric cars at a private meeting with employees of the Grünheide plant, the source said.
The plant in Germany produces the Model Y, which is the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe.
Musk has repeatedly stated his intention to build an affordable electric car. To start its production, several technological solutions had to be found.
According to a Reuters source, the necessary technical innovations that speed up the production process and reduce costs have already been found. They relate to the design of the lower part of the car.
The innovative breakthrough will allow Tesla to achieve its goal of producing up to 20 million cars by 2030, which is ten times more than its current production volumes.
The agency’s source did not say when production of affordable Tesla electric vehicles would begin.
