Tesla has provided free access to Enhanced Autopilot for 30 days

Australian owners of Tesla cars report that the American company has opened free access to an improved autopilot.

Enhanced Autopilot is one of the three driving automation functions in Tesla electric cars. It occupies a place between the basic Autopilot option and the top Full Self-Drive.

For 30 days, Tesla owners will be able to take advantage of several Enhanced Autopilot features. Among them are automatic reconstruction on the route, route navigation (without automatic stops at traffic lights and intersections), car parking.

Also, the driver can remotely control the car using a smartphone when leaving the parking space. Another possibility is called Smart Summon. It enables the car to automatically leave the parking space and approach the driver. But for this, the route cannot cross public roads, and the driver must remain in line of sight.

Unlocking Enhanced Autopilot allows Tesla owners to experience the advanced driver assistance system and save $6,000. This is due to the fact that the activation of the function is available only after full payment ($6000), unlike Full Self-Drive, which can be activated with a subscription costing $199 per month.
