The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) conducted an investigation that resulted in the recall of more than a hundred Tela Model Y electric vehicles. The problem is that the steering wheels fall off.
In early May 2023, one of Tesla’s technicians discovered the problem. About three weeks later, Elon Musk’s company voluntarily applied for a recall of electric vehicles to fix the problem.
Tesla has decided to recall 137 vehicles. The company believes that the problem, which is a faulty steering mount, affects approximately 10% of the 137 electric vehicles subject to the recall.
