Tesla will show Steam on car dashboards as early as next month — Elon Musk
All in all, Tesla plans to expand the infotainment capabilities of its electric cars by adding Steam support. Responding on Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company ‘has made progress on Steam integration’ and can expect a demo ‘probably next month.’
We’re making progress with Steam integration. Demo probably next month.

The company already offers a number of games in its electric vehicles through the built-in Tesla Arcade system. For example, Cuphead and Sonic the Hedgehog 1 are available to users. But the addition of the Steam digital store could give users access to many more games. There’s no word yet on how deep the Steam integration will be.
Musk still hasn’t followed through on promises to bring Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher to the new Model S and X cars, which feature an AMD Ryzen processor and AMD discrete GPU with RDNA 2 architecture. But the potential Steam integration could be a sign that Tesla is getting closer to that goal.
Recall that in February, Musk wrote on Twitter that the company ‘is working on the general possibility of Steam games running on Tesla, not individual games.’ Thus, you can expect full integration with Steam, supporting the entire catalog, and not individual specific games.
Previously, Tesla electric cars had the ability to play games on the dashboard screen while driving. But as a result of criticism, the company turned off the Passenger Play function.
