The American modernized fighter of the 4.5+ generation was able to launch 3 missiles with a range of 370 km in one flight

The F-15EX Eagle II conducted test launches of the AGM-158 Joint Off-Fire-Surface Standoff (JASSM). This was reported by the 53rd Wing of the US Air Force.

The modernized Generation 4.5+ fighter has completed the first phase of its hybrid development/initial operational test and evaluation program. The aircraft managed to launch three AGM-158 JASSM air-to-ground missiles during one flight.

The tests took place during the Cambat Hammer exercise at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The event began on August 14 and lasted until August 25. Details of the test launches are still classified. It is known that the maximum range of JASSM is 370 km.

A representative of the 53rd Air Wing said that everything went well. The tests confirmed the ability of the modernized F-15EX Eagle II fighter to use three high-precision cruise missiles in combat.

The US Air Force currently has two F-15EX test aircraft, but plans to increase its fleet to 104-112 units. The fighters have already confirmed that they can carry 12 AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, not eight like conventional F-15 Eagles. In addition, the service plans to make Eagle II a hypersonic weapon carrier.
