In the four months of 2022, Ukrainians transferred about $4 billion, which is half a billion less than last year. In April, the amount decreased by $174 million.
In April, more than $1.01 billion in private remittances were sent to Ukraine. This is $72 million more than in March 2022 ($939 million), but $174 million less than in April last year ($1.18). This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the year, the volume of remittances to Ukraine has exceeded $4.07 billion. Of these, more than $2.2 billion were transferred through legal channels, and $1.8 billion through informal channels. The total amount in January-April this year decreased by $480 million, 10% against the same period in 2021.
